Light up your holidays

It’s time to brighten up your home with a holiday tree. Smart Christmas lights allow you to easily control the illumination without leaving the couch. Change colors, control brightness, design a light show, and sync them up to classic holiday songs by linking your smartphone or tablet. Complete your display with our 2021 Holiday Music Playlist on Apple Music.

The Christmas Tree-O Meter app will help you determine if your decorations are too little, too much, or just perfect. Use a smartphone with a powerful camera like the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to scan your tree in the app.

For those who prefer the fresh smell of pine, you’re in luck. Shopping for a real Christmas tree just got easier. Use the Measure feature on the Google Pixel 6 to determine the size of your space and find a tree that fits perfectly. You can simply measure the length of a room or object by dropping a pin and letting the app do all the work.

Keep an eye on Santa

For kids, leaving cookies for Santa and racing to bed before he arrives on his sleigh is part of the Christmas magic. Technology makes it easier for parents to keep that excitement alive. Download these nifty apps on your tablet so the kiddos can easily keep tabs on Santa.

Santa Update– Get daily updates on what’s happening in Santa’s workshop leading up to Christmas. The night before, the app provides updates on Santa’s location every 15 minutes, along with a bedtime warning when he nears your area.

NORAD Santa Tracker– Download the app on December 1 to begin a countdown to Santa’s flight, then follow his progress on December 24. You can even call or text 1-877-HI-NORAD to get Santa’s exact location.

Dream of a white Christmas

If snowfall is at the top of your holiday wish list, a tool from the Farmer’s Almanac can help you figure out if you’ll be wearing your snow boots this year. Plug your city or zip code into the app for iOS and Android to see a local weather outlook.

If you’re lucky enough to see flurries over the holidays, take epic snowman building and snowball fighting pics while keeping your phone safe with the Universal Pelican Waterproof Pouch.

Spread holiday cheer

Making baked goods is the perfect way to get in a jolly spirit. Whip up your favorite cookies, brownies, or pies and deliver them to your friends or loved ones.

Set your Apple iPad (9th Gen) on your countertop to get hands-free access to holiday baking recipes. It can act as a cookbook, kitchen timer, and unit converter. Check out festive and delicious holiday baking recipes on Delish.

Consider sending a holiday e-card or creating homemade ornaments if you’re looking for a way to spread holiday cheer that doesn’t require an apron.

The Christmas Card Maker app is a quick and easy way to send personalized e-cards to your friends and family during the holidays. Choose a template, import your photo, customize it, then send it to your loved ones.

Create fun DIY ornaments for kids by following these easy steps:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Combine 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 1 ½ cups of water.
  3. Knead your ingredients until you form a dough
  4. Roll the dough out to about ½ cm thickness
  5. Form the dough into festive shapes or use holiday cookie cutters to get your desired look. Then use a straw to make a hole at the top.
  6. Bake for 1-2 hours
  7. Once cool, decorate your custom ornament with paint, glitter, or stickers. Then tie a string and hang your creation on the tree.
