The stunning new iPhone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max

During Apple’s Keynote Event on September 10th, the all-new, highly anticipated iPhone models were finally introduced: the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. From all new colors to some seriously awesome camera hardware, these new smartphones are just the right amount of everything. Let’s jump into the impressive features of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

New Colors and Cases

The iPhone 11 is available in a host of brand-new pastel colors – Purple, Yellow, and Green – as well as some classic colors, like Black, White, and (Product)RED.  The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max is also available in standard colors like Gold, Space Grey, and Silver, but is also available in a new Midnight Green shade.

Not only does the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro showcase beautiful new colors, but the front and back of the phone is made with improved water and shatter resistant glass. These new iPhone models are water resistant to twice the depth of the previous model, the iPhone XR. They can be submerged in up to two meters of water for up to 30 minutes.

Pro-Grade Cameras

Perhaps the biggest addition to the new iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models are the new pro-grade cameras. Apple also added some pretty helpful photography features to their software.

First, the iPhone 11 features a 12MP Wide lens camera and a 12MP Ultra-Wide lens camera on the back of the phone, plus a 12MP TrueDepth front-facing selfie camera. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, however, have a third camera on the back – a 12MP Telephoto lens camera.

Along with these added lenses, Apple’s redesigned interface allows you to see what’s happening outside the frame of your photo. Before you hit the shutter, you can readjust your shot as needed. Plus, with the new Zoom wheel, you can easily switch between lenses on the fly.

Want to take a quick video? Now, with QuickTake, just hold down the shutter button in standard camera mode to record a quick video. All videos recorded on the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro are shot in 4K at 60 frames per second across all its cameras. Plus, with spatial audio technology, the audio and the frame zoom in together so you can capture what’s really important.

A few other cool photography features come with the new iPhone 11 and 11 Pro: Pets can now be photographed in portrait mode, Night mode helps brighten photos taken in low light, and you can take as many “slofies” as you want – Apple’s awesome new term for slo-mo selfies. The front-facing camera allows for slo-mo recording, so you can catch those glamour shots in action.

Improved Face ID

Sometimes, it’s hard to hold your iPhone perfectly in front of your face to unlock it. That’s why Apple has improved Face ID to support more angles – unlock your phone while it’s sitting on your desk, while you’re laying in bed, and more. It’s the most secure facial authentication in a smartphone. It doesn’t store or share your photo, so your personal information stays private. Plus, it unlocks up to 30 percent faster.

All-Day Battery Life

Apple made huge strides in increasing the battery life of their smartphones when the iPhone X launched in 2018. With the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, they kept that progress going, increasing the battery life to last 1 hour longer than the iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 and 11 Pro also have fast-charge capabilities, giving you up to 50% charge in 30 minutes with an 18W adapter or higher, and wireless charging capabilities with Qi-compatible chargers.

iOS 13

Apple is rolling out the highly anticipated iOS 13 a day before the new devices are set to release. All new iPhone 11 devices will come equipped with the new operating system. Users will have access to features like Dark Mode, which turns the usual white space in your apps and menu bars to a dark gray, an all-new Photos tab, photo and video editing capabilities and more.

iOS 13 will also add the Siri Shortcuts app to your phone, which helps Siri work with other apps. That’s not all that’s different with Siri… Siri is also getting a brand-new voice thanks to advanced neural text-to-speech technology. Just wait until you hear it!

The Reminders app, the Calendar app, the Apple Music app and the CarPlay Dashboard are also getting makeovers, making them more user-friendly.
