Have an old, unused smartphone sitting in a drawer somewhere? Instead of letting it collect dust, you may be able to trade it in for credit towards a new phone, tablet, and more, all thanks to the Cellular Sales Smartphone Trade-In program.

The Cellular Sales Smartphone Trade-In program is super simple.
First, bring your old device into your nearest Cellular Sales store. It can be in any condition and from any carrier, though your trade-in value may be higher if it’s in good shape. Make sure your operating system security lock is disabled (i.e., your password or passcode) and the battery is in sound condition before trading.
Then, your wireless sales consultant will input your device information and its condition into the system and give you the estimated trade-in value for that device.
You’ll receive an in-store credit for that amount, which you can use towards anything in the store, like a new device with accessories to match.
You can trade in old smartphones, basic phones, tablets, smartwatches, jetpack devices and netbooks from any brand or carrier, in any condition.
Plus, you can trade in up to 10 devices at once. You don’t have to include chargers, SD cards, SIM cards, or other accessories with your device when you trade it in. No trade-in value will be provided for those items.
Your trade-in doesn’t have to be an old, unused phone, though. You can trade in the smartphone you’re currently using to upgrade to a newer device. The trade-in credit you receive for your current device can be applied directly to the price of your new one.
The trade-in value of your device varies based on how old it is and its condition. Your wireless sales consultant can give you an exact amount in-store.
You can use your trade credit towards anything in the Cellular Sales store, including smartphones, tablets, headphones, accessories and more. You can apply it towards your upgrade, too. Your wireless sales consultant can help you choose what’s best for you and answer any questions you may have.
Your trade might even qualify for a promotion! Any remaining trade credit not used in store can be applied to your Verizon account.
If your device is still active (i.e., receives calls or uses data on any network) and you’d like to keep the line active, you’ll have to swap the device with an inactive or new device. You won’t be able to receive trade credit for a device until it’s deactivated.
In the case that your device has no trade-in value, you can choose to keep the device or safely recycle it. Ask your Cellular Sales rep about local recycling options in your area.
