As Mac OSX shifts to OSX, Mac diappears. The name shift indicates a dramatic shift in the way Apple is positioning their computers. Instead of thinking about the computer as a storage and processing center for software and lots and lots of content, Apple is thinking about the computer like a giant smartphone: a device that uses apps and access content that is mostly stored elsewhere.
