Apple Assures users that apps cannot read contact data without permission

After extensive criticism for allowing iOS developers too much access to customer address books, Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr explained that apps accessing contact data without permissin violate company guideliness. All future updates will require explicit user apporval for any apps that wish to acces address book information.
